This power mirror, designed for 2002 Chevy Avalanche 1500, 2002 Chevy Avalanche 2500, 2000-2002 Chevy Suburban 1500, 2000-2002 Chevy Suburban 2500, 2000 Chevy Tahoe (excluding Z71 Models), 2001-2002 Chevy Tahoe, 2000-2002 GMC Yukon, 2000-2002 GMC Yukon XL 1500, 2000-2002 GMC Yukon XL 2500, and 2001-2002 GMC Yukon XL Denali, offers a power-adjustable feature, heating function, and manual folding capability.
The power-adjustable feature allows the driver to conveniently adjust the angle of the mirror through the car's power switch, maximizing the field of view. The heating function is particularly useful on rainy and snowy days, as the heater behind the lens quickly warms the mirror surface, effectively removing rain or fog. This not only enhances visibility but also reduces the risk of driving while manually wiping the mirror glass.
The manual folding design requires the driver to reach out of the window or get off the car to fold the mirror, which can be a useful feature in tight spaces or when navigating through narrow passages.
The replacement side view mirror installation process involves the following steps:
Step 1 - Access: Roll down the window of the car. For electric mirrors, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Take off the screws of the door panel, remove the trim with a pry tool, and finally take off the door panel. If you have electric windows, unplug the harness. Use the nut driver to take off the nuts holding the side mirror in place and then remove it.
Step 2 - Installation: If it's an electric mirror, replace the harness, checking that everything is properly hooked up. To complete the installation, screw the interior door panel back in place on the door and replace the trim. Put the negative battery cable back on the terminal and tighten it properly. Place the side view mirror in place, ensuring the bolts on the mirror are through the holes in the assembly. Tighten the nuts with the nut driver until the mirror is held firmly.
It's important to note that this mirror only fits the passenger side (right side) and does not have integrated turn signals or light sensitivity options.
To confirm that this part fits your vehicle, please check if your vehicle's year, make, and model are included in the description.
